On the heels of the tentative agreement with the Ford Motor Company, the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement with Stellantis to end the 44 day strike. The terms appear to be similar to those reached with Ford, but it also includes provisions to allocate products to most US-based plants including one in Belvidere, Illinois, just outside my hometown.

Update: After reaching a tentative agreement with Ford and Stellantis and the union walking out at the Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee, the UAW reachec a tentative agreement with General Motors in their long strike against the auto manufacturer. While the details have not yet been released, sources say the terms are similar to those reached in the agreements with Ford and Stellantis. GM was under increased pressure to reach a deal after the UAW reached deals with Ford and Stellantis.
